There must be something in the whatever. This morning, had to give N a jump-start on the work station wegon. Then, after the morning at Balwyn High, had to give Piers a jump-start on his car. Which has a truck battery, so took a little longer.
Haven't had to give anyone a jump-start in months amd months then two on the one day.
Life, it is randomly distributed.

Monday night had dinner at
tyggerjai &
bunnikins place.
tyggerjai cooked taragon chicken. It was very yummy. Then we discussed films and the somewhat ethereal experience of being
spark_au's housemate.
Tuesday night, had some yummy Burmese at
mishymoocow and N's place. Had spent much of the day at the office doing Roster and related things such as packing my car for the next day, punctuated with going to the CBD and a CERC seminar on the need for a moral dimension in tackling corruption, which was lots of fun. And purchasing a couple of books at Of Science & Swords.
Wednesday was a Medieval day at Samaritan, a Catholic boys school with 80 minute periods. Three periods of Crime and Culture and I then most of the talking while Rohan/Vandel did the hitting for Tournament. The boys were good. The school was very happy and will book us again in the second half of the year.
Had dinner at Rohan/Vandel--spag bog he cooked. Very edible.
tenbears &
splodgenoodles joined us fresh from a trip to Ballarat. The conversation was very funny if not always in the best taste.
Monday and Tuesday, continued going for my walks-with-5-kg in each hand and also my Tai Chi. Tuesday did the full one hour walk for the first time since injuring my foot.

I Flexirented an iMac today. For the next three years, I have a fully warranted computer with free service.
It is so shiny and new. I will have to arrange to have a Gizmotech come with my old hard-drive and transfer information across. But that should not be a big deal.
We have even got it hooked up to the house Internet connection. The security protection my housemate Snake had installed meant the iMac wasn't picking up the network but, with a bit of fiddling, Snake fixed that.
So I am all functional and connected.
I am not setting up Entourage until my old email data is available, but it is all functional otherwise. Woohoo!
I also bought a station wagon for the company. A silver 1994 Falcon ED with towbar which had done 224,000kms for $3499 plus stamp duty. I took it for a test drive, put down the deposit and--subject to RACV roadworthiness test--Medieval Education will have an office car again (other than mine). Yay!
